Chris Froome seems likely to miss the Tour de France - the lack of time trialing and more unwelcome Paris-Roubaix sections seems to have influenced his decision. The 2015 Tour de France stage 4 has seven sections of pavé totaling just over 13km. Instead the Giro and Vuelta may get his attention in 2015.
Meantime Nairo Quintana is happy with the lack of time trialing, and all the hills, and will just have to be very wary of the cobbles. Nairo is currently the bookies favourite, with Contador second, then Nibali.
Vincenzo Nibali is minded to do the Giro and then the Tour, but not the Vuelta too. Nibali of course gained massively over the cobbles in the 2014 Tour so welcomes more bumpy stuff in Northern France this July.
Contador is hoping to do all three Gran Tours...
