This is one of the mid-week one-day races that takes place inbetween two monuments of the sport - Tour of Flander and Paris-Roubaix.
The Scheldeprijs happens inbetween these two classics and features its own set of 7 cobbled sections. Its 200km long but that is divided between a 155km loop north of Antwerp and then 15km circuits near Schoten. The race starts in the market place of Antwerp and finishes outside Schoten town hall.
Rare for a Classic race (albeit a minor one) the Scheldeprijs has been won by a Brit - Mark Cavendish has won it three times (its known as a sprinters race). In very recent years Marcel Kittel seems to have a monopoly on it - he's won it every year since 2012.
