Sunday 2nd March sees the classic Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne pro-race take its traditional place (since 1945) on the first weekend of the Spring Classics season. In 2012 Mark Cavendish won for Sky. And 2011 Sky's Chris Sutton won - so that seems to go against the perceived notion that Sky haven't got the Spring Classics nailed.
And there's a cyclosportive the day before offering 40/65/95km routes.
This early in the season participants need to be prepared for serious weather conditions: the pro-race was cancelled last year due to heavy snow.
If you don't fancy riding this early you can always watch the season opener - Omloop Het Nieuwsblad on Saturday.
